My special place

I was learning how to use my senses to add detail to my writing so that I can make my writing more interesting  for my readers.

I was proud of my writing because I put lots of detail into it.The part that was tricky for me was what could we smell because it was hard to find the right words.

My next step is to use my skills in my other writing to add detail.

Finding and Summarising Information in a Non-Fiction Test

I have been learning to find and summarise information in a non-fiction text.  I read a book about butterflies and learnt some facts.  I used the information I found to do a comparison with Eliani who learnt about bees.  Here is our Venn Diagram:

Show don't tell

I was learning to use show don't tell strategies in my writhing.  I tried to show my body instead of saying I feel.  It was hard.  The hard part was doing the orientation.

This is my name art.  We used warm and cold colours to colour our concentric circles.

I used a story pyramid to help me retell the story treasure by the sea
I think I did well at retelling the main events.  My next step is make and justify inferences.

I was learning how a did you ever poem.

I felt confident  about this learning.

I was proud of my did you ever poem because I included nouns and verbs.

My next step is to use new words that I haven't used before.

My Kennings Poem

I was learning how to write a kennings poem.
I was proud of my kennings poem because I put allot of ideas into my kenning's poem.
And I was  kind of confident doing my kennings poem.
My next step is to put a bit more words and not repeat words.
